The Fickle Hand of Fate and Other Thoughts

As you recall, last week I talked about my neurosis about moving back in with my parents, if only for a month(ish). However, fate decided to throw a curveball my way and shorten my visit with my folks to about two and a half weeks. The wonderful people buying my home are needing a little longer time to close and while this is a good thing, that stupid negative voice in my head starts messing with me. Since I have (finally) emotionally checked out of the house that I love, any deviation from the plan causes my anxiety to rear its ugly head – hence the negative voice.

Not to worry though, because I have chosen to remain optimistic that it will all work out as it is meant to. Optimism and stronger CBD gummies are keeping me sane for the time being πŸ€ͺπŸ€ͺπŸ€ͺ.

Speaking of CBD gummies, I have found a stronger product that seems to last longer than the bears. The lovely young woman who works at the shop recommended the worms instead of the bears as they had a higher level of CBD and the worms are working so much better. I had started with the bears because it was my first foray into CBD so I wanted to be conservative. Now that I know how it interacts with my system, I’m willing to branch out.  I may even try the water additive one day. For now, the worms are keeping demons are at bay.

If you have ever considered CBD, I would like to suggest finding a store that a) focuses on CBD – that it’s not a side gig, and b) they have information on their products so that you can do your research. Not all CBD companies are made equally. Shockingly (yes sarcasm), CBD companies are not made equally and some skimp on CBD levels in their products. You want to make sure you are choosing the best product for you.

So, while things are looking up for 2021, the shadow of 2020 still seems to loom over this month. I, however, have faith that it will soon fade, and the good of 2021 will start to show itself as we move through this year.

Find time to commit a random act of kindness – show the good in this world.
