I have to say, this has been one of the best weeks I’ve had in a long time. The weather has been beautiful, my writing has been on point, my emotions are in a good place – just a peaceful week 😊.
Of course, just as I was settling in to sleep the other night feeling incredibly content, my anxiety flared up 🙄 (so much for contentment 😜). Fortunately, it was mild, but it did follow me into my dreams in the form of my ex-husband. That’s when I realized that the negative voice in my head, that evil little Jiminy Cricket (JC for short), likes to attack me in my dreams by showing up as my ex-husband acting like a jackass. Well that needs to stop asap! Recognizing he’s the problem is half the battle right 😁?
In order to shake off the energy of evil little JC, I thought I would do some updates and an anecdote to end my week with you all.
Updates:
I should have mentioned yesterday that my horse is just fine after the vet visit 😊. I, on the other hand, have another vet bill coming my way, SSSSSIIIIIGGGGGGHHHHH (to dramatic? 😆). Seriously though with the vet bill 🤢.
The ear is pretty much healed and not hearing the popping and cracking anymore is such a relief 😮💨. I do not recommend ear infections for anyone 😒.
I swear I’m getting closer to signing up for a dating app 😁. It’s just so weird because when I was a part of the dating pool (waaaaaaay back when, you can say it 😆), I never had trouble meeting men. Hell, even after I was married, I never had trouble getting hit on. Sadly, it’s been 5½ years since the last flirtation occurred.
In regard to my Halloween post, one of my best friends kindly reminded me that you can’t say the title of one of the movies without singing it 🤣🤣. Real Housewives Anecdote: I have a complicated relationship with organized religion, despite the fact that I was raised Catholic, my father was once in seminary school studying to be a priest, my Uncle Bill was a priest, and my Aunt Irma was a nun for over fifty years! As a result, I struggle whenever people ask for prayers regarding some issue in their life, and I usually fall back on saying “sending positive energy your way”, but that doesn’t work for all occasions. Then this week on Real Housewives of Potomac I found a solution to my problem when one cast member said to another – “I’ll speaking healing words for your family.” This is a perfect way to convey my feelings! Who says you can’t learn from reality tv?
I’ll close out this post with one more positive for the week. If you are plus size (like me 🤷🏼♀️) or struggle to find jeans that fit, you will appreciate it when I say I found some awesome jeans that fit and, to top if off under $30 – Woo Hoo 🍾🍾. Thank You Cato Fashions! Way to round out my week!
