People Have Lost Their Damn Minds

Nope, not talking about politics โ€“ I try to keep it as apolitical as possible here. However, I am talking about parking and parking lots ๐Ÿ˜.

First, let me start by saying I have light PTSD when I walk in parking lots because almost 12 years ago, I was hit by a car while walking across a parking lot. My head is on a swivel anytime I am in a parking lot, and I will hug parked cars as I head to the store just to minimize the chances of it happening again. Yesterdayโ€™s little adventure started giving me anxiety

So yesterday, I drove my (not so little ๐Ÿ˜œ) behind over to my local grocery store. It is one that has slanted parking slots and arrows to tell you which direction to go. As I move down the lane, there is a car (#1) ahead of me, waiting for another car (#2) to back out. At first I thought, Iโ€™ll wait until he parks, then see if there is a spot up closer than where I was at the moment. A normal routine for many of us. And then things got crazy.

Next thing I see is a second parked car (#3) started backing into car #1 while trying to get out ๐Ÿ˜ฌ. Fortunately, he stopped in time, but it was close for sure. Then, I noticed that car #2 was trying to back up in a way that would allow him to go the wrong way down the aisle! Like what the f๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿคฌ? And these aisles are not really designed for two cars to drive side by side without getting extremely close to one another. Again, something Iโ€™m sure some of you have witnessed (or done ๐Ÿ˜œ) yourselves. I thought, screw this and pulled into the closest spot to me. As I get out of my car with my bags, I look up to see if the log jam that was happening was resolved and I see another car (#4) adding to the mess. You see car #2 was parked across the lane, trying to figure out how the hell to go in the wrong way, while car #1 was still waiting to pull in, and car #3 was still waiting to get out of his spot, when car (#4) decides to drive the wrong way down the aisle ๐Ÿ˜ณ. Not only is he going the wrong way, but he is trying to drive around the dumbass in  car #2, who couldnโ€™t figure out which direction to turn his car (left, dude, go left  โฌ…๏ธ ๐Ÿ™„) and poor car #1, the car that had been in front of me. Follow me so far ๐Ÿ˜? Now Iโ€™m thinking what the absolute f๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿคฌ is going on. Apparently, car #4 didnโ€™t see that it was already a cluster in that aisle and heโ€™s just going to add to it ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ. And I realized that the dumbasses in car #2 and car #4 need remedial driving lessons, in a parking lot ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†.

And all the while, people are walking up and down the aisle, heading to or away from the store.

At that point, I just dipped over an aisle that had a lot less shit going on and walked to the store, shaking my head, waiting for the crunch of metal that thankfully never came ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ.

People have just lost their damn minds ๐Ÿคช!
