Happy Happy Happy!

Exactly how I look when doing my happy dance 😁

Well, my week got infinitely better Tuesday! No, my fight with medical records has not been resolved. That would have been too easy πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†. Come to think of it, still no call back from either the office manager or the patient advocate – may need to file a complaint with MUSC for their lack of response to this issue πŸ€”.

My week is infinitely better because Tuesday was NEW BOOK DAY πŸΎπŸ₯‚πŸŽ‰. Laugh if you must but one of my favorite authors, Kim Harrison, released her long awaited (well long awaited my fans anyway) book in The Hollows series – Trouble with the Cursed (doing my happy dance πŸ’ƒπŸΌπŸ’ƒπŸΌ). I have read all sixteen novels previous to this one, the pre-qual novel and the short story collections of these characters. And I own almost all of them (still trying to find three of the earlier works). I have also read (and own) the two books of her Drafter Series. To say I am a fan would be putting it mildly πŸ˜πŸ˜.

After I pried it from the mailman’s grip (once he found it that is πŸ™„), I tore into it and its as if I never left Cincinnati (not that I ever been really πŸ˜†) and I’m already a quarter of a way through it. Loving it so far πŸ’œπŸ’œ.

Now, I could wax poetic again about how much I love this series, how the characters are like old friends I haven’t seen in years (ok it’s only been a year since the last novel πŸ˜†), or I could just encourage you to check out the series yourself! Mind you the first book came out in 2004, but there is always the library – which I strongly endorse using. And many libraries offer the capability of borrowing e-books, so win-win! And, if you haven’t guessed already from the title of this book, the author has a fondness for Clint Eastwood movies. Check out her other titles in the series and see how many you can guess πŸ˜‰.

As for When Women Were Dragons β€“ I tried, I really did. But, I just could not get into the story and I was not a fan of the authors writing style, so I returned it. But if you, My Lovelies (and fellow book nerds), have a different experience with the book, please let me know.

Since I will most likely be finished with this book before the weekend is out (and there are no new books on my to buy list due anytime soon πŸ˜’), next on my list is one of my Ollies bargains – Providence by Carol Kepnes. I let you know how I fair with that, most likely next week.

Until next time, read something you loveΒ πŸ’œ.
